The Shiny Economy
In Anime Adventures, Shiny Units are the cornerstone of high-level trading. While a normal Mythic might fall in value as it leaves the banner, a Shiny Mythic (especially one with meta relevance) retains value indefinitely. Shinies deal extra damage and have unique cosmetics, making them double-threats for both utility and collection. When trading, never value a Shiny simply as "a normal unit plus a little extra"—it is often worth 10x to 50x the normal version.
Trait Rerolling: Gambling for Profit
Traits can make or break a unit's value. A unit with the Unique trait (which can triple damage or halve attack cooldowns) is a completely different beast from one with no trait. Smart traders will buy undervalued units with bad traits, invest Reroll Tokens to hit Unique, Godspeed, or Divine, and then flip the unit for massive profit. Always check the Trait before you trade!
Building a Meta Team
Value isn't just about rarity; it's about
utility. The most valuable units are often supports that enable high damage numbers for the entire team. Look for units that provide:
- Damage Buffs: (e.g., Erwin, Wendy types) - Essential for every mode.
- Time Stop/Slow: Critical for Infinite Mode.
- Percentage Damage: (e.g., Guts type) - Scales infinitely against high-HP bosses.
Trading for these "Enablers" is often a safer investment than trading for pure DPS units, which get power-crept every update.
Limited vs. Permanent
Units from Event Capsules (Halloween, Christmas, Summer) or Battle Passes are Limited. Once their event ends, no more can ever be generated. This creates a natural scarcity that drives prices up over time. If you have to choose between trading for a current banner unit (which might return) or a Limited unit, the Limited is almost always the better long-term hold.
Relics and Evolution
While you trade units, don't forget the materials needed to upgrade them. Relics (craftable or droppable items) provide passive bonuses to units. High-tier relics are often needed to make a unit viable for leaderboard runs. Understanding which Relic pairs with which Meta Unit allows you to bundle items for better trades.
