The Capsule Economy: To Open or To Hold?
The biggest trading currency in All Star Tower Defense is the Capsule (e.g., Summer Capsule, Pumpkin Capsule). These items are time-limited. The golden rule of ASTD trading is: Unopened Capsules usually hold more value than opened units. The chance of pulling a Legendary or 7-Star from a capsule is extremely low (often <1%). Trading the capsule itself appeals to gamblers, allowing you to secure stable value without risking a bad pull.
Infinite Mode Meta: Utility Over Damage
While everyone loves high damage numbers, the true trading value lies in Utility. Units that can Slow, Time Stop, or Rewind enemies are essential for reaching Wave 100+ in Infinite Mode. A unit with 1 million damage is worthless if it can't hit fast enemies, but a unit with a Time Stop ability is always in demand for Leaderboard runs. Prioritize trading for these support pillars.
Banner vs. Trading Units
Remember that standard banner units (summoned with Gems/Gold) are usually not tradable. Don't waste your pity on a banner hoping to trade the unit later unless it is explicitly marked as a "Limited" banner. Save your Stardust for special limited banners if your goal is to build trade value, otherwise focus on building your personal team for clearing Story Mode.
The "7-Star" Investment
7-Star units are the pinnacle of power. They require massive amounts of fodder units and materials to evolve. In trading, a pre-evolved 7-Star unit commands a premium because it saves the buyer hours of grinding. If you have the patience to farm Raids and evolve units, you can flip them for huge profits to lazy players who have the currency but not the time.
Avoiding "Duplication" Scams
Use a consistent trade checklist: confirm unit name, enchant, level, and trait on both confirmation screens before accepting. For high-value units, take a moment to compare the exact variant in your inventory and the trade panel. This routine helps you avoid mismatched offers and protects your long-term collection value.
